Live Comedy in Delray Beach, Every Friday and Saturday
In town for the weekend, or finally done saying "we should go see a show"? Sick Puppies Comedy has been making South Florida laugh since 2012, and the Doghouse Theater is our home: an intimate black box theater in Delray's historic district, a short walk north of Atlantic Avenue. Every show is built on the spot from audience suggestions, so no two nights are ever the same.
What kind of comedy is it?
Saturday nights are Chicago-style improv. Our mainstage cast turns your suggestions into fully improvised scenes, the style made famous by Second City and UCB. Friday nights rotate between stand-up showcases featuring South Florida's best local and regional comics and specialty improv formats from our veteran performers. Saturday shows are rated PG-13.
Planning your night
We're at the Doghouse Theater, 105 NW 5th Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33444, just north of Atlantic Ave. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime, and seating is open and limited, so arriving early gets you the best seats. Buy tickets online in advance; they cost more at the door, and there's nothing to print because we'll have your name. Parking is free in the lot across the street, on the street, and in a lot a block away. Beer, wine, soda and snacks are available at the theater, and the restaurants on West Atlantic Ave are a few minutes' walk away for dinner before the show.
Want to be on stage instead?
We also run 7-week improv classes at the Doghouse. No experience is needed, every class ends with you performing on our stage, and students see our Saturday shows free.
